Velo29 Teams
2012 sees a change in structure with Velo29 supporting two cycling teams. In order to fully support the riders changes were inevitable.
The Velo29 National Team will target the Premier Calendar Series and a selection of International Races. The Velo29 Development Team which will be an entity in its own right. Velo29 will provide training and race support for the development riders with the aim of sucking those that are capable into the National Team when they are ready.
2012 will be the first year of the new structure and will see the two teams actually competing against each other in a way that is similar to Team Endura and the Endura Development Team. There is every chance that a Velo29 backed team will be ranked both 1 & 2 in the NE region within a few years.
The National Team
The Velo29 National Team led by Matthew Kipling will take on the best in the UK in 2012. Come and see the team at the following events. In a change from last year, the National Team will be competing in a predominantly black strip.

The Development Team
The development team will be concentrating for the most part on the local races including the Division Champs. That said, the Juniors and Youths will be aiming to score wins on a national scale as they have already proven they can do.
The team kit will remain the highly visible blue and yellow for 2012.
